Inspired by our recent discussions about the possibility of Castle Greyhawk finally seeing print, I thought I'd drag out some old notes on Castle Greyhawk and share them.
We know about the following entrances to Castle Greyhawk from various old articles in The Dragon (most notably Joe Fischer's "Hints for D&D Judges" from issue 2), conversations with RJK and EGG, EGG's Gord novels and stories, etc.
Entrances:
- the ruined castle above
- an old dry cistern
- beneath a pool of quicksand
- a simple hole in the ground
- secret stairwell entrance to lower levels (see EGG's "The Hearth of Darkness" short story)
- sewers beneath City Greyhawk (? can't recall where I heard this one)
Exits:
- as above
- gates to Alice levels (via pit and mirror?), Isle of the Ape (via cavern corridor), Chicago/modern world, Greek Mythology area,
- chute to China taken by Robilar
Now, what we know little about is whether or not there were any entrances/exits from Castle Greyhawk to and from El Raja Key? What say you Rob?
