With real respect to Allan . . .
Arrgh. I'm not sure what to make of this, Allan. the lizards of the cost putting out this CRAP, using famous personages, with no mention of Rob, Gary (unless I've missed something in the article or credits elsewhere) . . trying to capitalize on recent material by our friend Rob and Gary makes me want to say . . . FUCK THIS!!! (can't seem to make this HUGE, but it doesn't matter). Anywho, I'm not a 3.X or wotc basher per say, but when they cheat/lie/steal and fool the new gamers, without giving credit where credit is due ~ THAT makes me MAD!! Thoughts? -----------------------

Well, Rhu---I do not acknowledge the whole "Rary the Traitor" bit, or the "Greyhawk Wars"; so they lost me there! ^__^

One could argue that they at least still acknowledge it exists, rather than put it somewhere no exposure could happen.

Oops, my post seems a bit harsh, but it's not directed at you Allan. Just them - although really I understand their approach and philosophy to selling and using D&D and all the famous and well know people/places and things.
SELL, SELL and SELL. BOOKS, BOOKS and BOOKS. For now that is and then work on the online/suck them in/lock them in to a fee model - like console or PC games and other online crap to see if they can float and further milk the RPG cash cow that may deflate very quickly and disappear before you can say "Sir Robilar met Mordankainen at the Green Dragon Inn to discuss Murlynd's latest "hogleg" and the upcoming gun battle with Count Rhuveinus at the Hokey Coral! The Count has recently purchased the Night Train Express Wine Bottle brand and rights and is looking for a distributer in Tombstone. Times are good in fantasy land. -----------------------

You're a hoot Rhu, but no doubt what Banabus said is true to a greater or lesser extent. I have had no hard feelings for a while about such uses as nothing can be done about it: Old saying, change what is possible and do not worry about the rest (or it goes something like that). I have too many other current considerations and goals to be concentrating upon, and past politics IS NOT one of them.

Well said, Rob ~ as usual.
Hopefully many will be interested in some history or information about the beginnings and the players/creators. -----------------------
