Rob, since you placed the Bottle on the 2^nd dungeon level, was there some mechanic in place for keeping low level adventurers from being stumbling into the Bottle?

What do you think of the idea of placing Bottle City inside the Tomb of Horrors. Instead of the Siren's grotto, you have this little glass bottle on a stand . . . (perhaps with the Siren and/or other prisoners of the Demi Lich inside).

What fun would ensue . . . .

BOTTLE: The Advancing Veteran

Just a curiousity...

In the PDF manuscript, concerning the Advancing Veteran, it states:
Up to 40th is at 35th. [manuscript unclear on final phrase]

Could this have meant "if the PC total levels are up to 40th, the Veteran's combat level is at 35th"?
It would have certainly made it challenging.

Rob, there are some pretty well known stories of the adventures some players had while exploring Dark Druids and the level that became Mordenkainen's Fantastic adventure, but no such details were provided in the BC adventure. It's unfortunate that events have taken the attention away from the products Rob has published.
I've only read Bottle City, and I think it's one of the best adventures ever published, and there's been almost no discussion of the material. Has anybody DMed or played the adventure yet? I'd like some opinions on whether it plays as well as it reads.

I've been considering tying the Lost City of Gaxmoor to Bottle City, making it the 'city' until THE city is released. I've previously tied Zayene to Gaxmoor, and that still works too.
The outline is this:
Farlanghn removed Gaxmoor to a special demi-plane to save it from destruction.(per Ernie/Luke Gygax).
Gaxmoor was one of the earliest cities founded by the migrating Oeridians on the eastern side of the flanaess, located in Sunndi.

Pied Piper Publishing will replace any original, signed and serialized copy of the Limited Edition of Bottle City under the following conditions and directions:

I'm happy to see folks are starting to receive their limited editions of BC.

For the standard edition, and all other remaining orders to date of product in stock. (I believe it was already known months and months ago that one of the modules was out of stock, and I don't think there are actual orders standing for it, but will post that status after my final appraisal, as well as what will be done in the case that there are outstanding orders.)

Although I believe Rob has most of the orders out, he and I have arranged for me to come by this weekend and help him out. My hands are more deft than his right now and this needs to be resolved with finality. Naturally, there are other things that will get in the way, such as funerals and my midterms before spring break, but I'll help expedite things since I opened my mouth and made them worse.

I still demand a personal update on my order status AT ONCE.

PPP cannot evade its responsibilities by shutting down discussion here. I really don't want to bring outside authorities into this and pursue charges of fraud, but I will if I am forced by PPP's refusal to respond to this issue.
