I finally played Fourth Edition Thursday night. I must say it wasn&#39;t a bad experience. It&#39;s not an old school game by any means. I wouldn&#39;t DM it
myself. But as a player I had fun. I&#39;d play in a campaign. The game system works well. It had rules for everything I did. This is good and bad in my book.
I can see how a comprehensive set of rules might limit the DM in certain ways, but it also bring a sort of uniformity so as the players know what to expect
from one DM to... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ While this an alt to the 3.5 OGL, Paizo&#39;s Pathfinder PHB has received over 10,000 downloads for playtesting. I browsed through it and I&#39;m wondering if
anyone else has looked at it. I&#39;m curious what others think about it. Keep in mind, even 1st edition style games are often translated into 3+. I&#39;m not
asking after the rules, but content and layout, etc.

			<description><![CDATA[ I was just pondering the races of D&amp;D.<br><br>Dwarves don't know a thing about secret doors (directly. They can detect construction) and elves have no forest detection of any kind like the dwarves do for the underground construction. Wouldn't elves be able to detect new growth and/or changes to woods? I would think dwarves are masters of secret doors and elves are automatically ranger-like in the woods. Wasn't the ranger a man who lived among elves in Tolkien?<br><br>I don't know, it just... ]]></description>
